Heres the thing, Marshall’s pass offense is predicated on a two step quick pass. Whis means it is hard getting to the quarterback unless they go play action anf even then Cato gets the ball put in quick rhythm, he has only been sacked 24 times this season. Also he is not a good QB he is a great QB who is said to play like Russel Wilson.

wonder if you went on Miami, Texas, UNT, Stanford, ULL boards and said the same thing? Or is MD just special for your stupidity…..? Listen to Craig. Anywhere beside Byrd stadium is a neutral site. Like MD playing at FedEx or Ravens stadiums are neutral sites games… You learn this in football 101…or common sense 101. smh

point was that many colleges travel significantly better than Terp fans. There are times when games at Byrd or Fedex for the Skins seem like an away game as the opposing team has more fans. Same goes for the Orioles when NY or Boston are in town. It’s sad! Marshall will likely have a better crowd in tow than the Terps despite only being a 45 minute drive.

I think it is unfair that Marshall has to play in Annapolis Maryland witch is a 30 min. drive from College Park ( Maryland’s campus) yet Huntington WV is over a 6 hour drive to Annapolis the game is taking place 2 day’s after Christmas witch will have a large scale impact on how many Marshall fans are going to be able to go to this game although tickets are divided evenly between the two schools it will be a big advantage for Maryland if you ask me they should be having this bowl game somewhere else.

Actually I went to the last Terps Military Bowl (which was between Maryland and East Carolina in 2010). It was played back then in DC, which is actually much closer to College Park than Annapolis is, and even then, the stadium was completely split 50-50 between MD and ECU fans. I don’t know how that was pulled off, but I expect the same with this year’s game.

Marshall accepted this bowl invite, they did not have to. Not sure if they received any other bowl offers. But doubt they could find a site closer to home than this. They have what would appear on paper the better team, so stop complaining and be happy for your team.

I watched quite of few Marshall games. ECU D isn’t a real top 25 D. OD scored 38 vs them. Good run D, but poor pass D. Marshall couldn’t even pass 30 vs Rice D. There ranked 24th. Seriously, Marshall has a good offense. Md matches up perfectly vs what they do. Marshall needs YAC yards. MD D are sure tacklers and that’s just one aspect. The next highest points Md gave up was 40 vs Clemson. Marshall O doesn’t come close. But hey. I take the under with you all day long. easy money.
